One way we can do this it to encourage cultural literacy. On Wednesdays, join us for an activity in the Storytime Room that will help us learn and understand something new about different world cultures. Carnival is a strong vibrant tradition in several island nations and Latin American countries as well as urban centers around the world. The main event of Carnival celebration is the parade which combines the music, dance and costumes of the tradition. Today Iowa City Carnival is here to help us create beautiful and eye-catching Carnival masks and to help us learn more about Carnival!
