Zoom event
April is National Poetry Month, and to celebrate tonight we'll be talking Poetry. Poetry is a literary artform in which writers use concentrated, lyrical arrangement of words. rhythms, or imagry to tell a story or invoke emotions in the reader. A single poem can reach readers in a variety of ways. Gather a few of your favorites and join us for a lively discussion.
If you don't already have some poets you like or if you're new to poetry, an anthology will offers a variety of voices and styles, usually about a theme. .
Not a traditional book group, Let's Talk Books is a series of casual online conversations about books. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month on Zoom to talk about our favorite books in a specific genre or on a theme that changes each time. We each bring a few titles to share, and by the end of the discussion we all have a few new titles on our too-be-read lists.
Register here and you'll receive a confirmation email with the Zoom login details. You'll also get a reminder email a few days before the event. Everyone is welcome!
This event is open to the public.
