Digital Media Lab
Adults and teens: join us in the Digital Media Lab for some analog creativity!
Bring your own portable craft project (such as knitting, paper crafts, embroidery, drawing, etc.) and make some progress in the company of other makers and craft-loving library staff members.
And/or do our provided projects:
- Make a few shrinky dinks that you can turn into pins, keychains, jewelry, magnets, and more! You'll trace a design onto the special shrinky dink paper, cut it out, and it will shrink to 1/3 of its size in our toaster oven. We'll guide you through the process! Feel free to bring images to trace or plan to print your subject matter from the lab's computers. In the past, people have made things based on Bob's Burgers, Howl's Moving Castle, original cat drawings, traced Greek statues, and more.
- Make a few buttons! Feel free to bring papers you want to use in buttons, print from the lab's computers, or use our collage materials. Designs will be 2.5" in diameter and finished buttons are 2.25."
Registration is optional, if you'd like to receive a reminder email. See you there!
If you need disability-related accommodations in order to participate in this event, please contact the Library.
