The 2016 Witching Hour festival will be held November 4 and November 5 at various locations throughout downtown Iowa City.
Co-sponsored by the Iowa City Public Library and presented by The Englert Theatre and Little Village, this annual festival is dedicated to exploring the unknown, creative process, and new work. Presentations and programs happening at the Library include the following:

This presentation chronicles Jason Sole's growth from three-time convicted felon to keynote speaker and gang trainer, including serving as a national trainer for One Circle Foundation.
Researching Ana Mendieta

Scholars and artists Adriana Méndez Rodenas, Artemisa Marie Dolores Clark, and Jenna Sauers discuss the politics and culture that influenced controversial Cuban American performance artist Ana Mendieta’s life and work.
Lessons Learned from Three Years of Silence

Will Duncan spent three years in a small mountain cabin completely cut off from the world. In this talk he discusses five essential lessons he learned in the crucible of total silence.
