Climate Fiction Book Club is a monthly book club that will read and discuss fiction to explore imagined futures of the climate crisis.
This month will be a discussion of The Light Pirate by Lily Brooks-Dalton. Set in the near future, this hopeful story of survival and resilience follows Wanda—a luminous child born out of a devastating hurricane—as she navigates a rapidly changing world.
About the presenter: Sarah Outterson-Murphy has a PhD in English and teaches high school in Cedar Rapids. She lives in Iowa City with her family and her prairie garden.
