Sunday, January 26, 2025 - 2:00pm to 3:00pm
Learn how to combine images from scans and downloads, and piece them all together with digital patterns!
This is an intermediate class that focuses on using Photoshop tools, special effects, and ‘libraries’ for storing digital media.
In this class, we’ll look at combining images from across the internet for a digital collage project that we can save or print. We’ll learn about scanning materials like aluminum, paper bags, and photos, and about uploading images and removing backgrounds. We’ll also learn a few ways to make digital patterns in Photoshop and how to save them.
By the end of class, attendees will know how Photoshop can be used for digital collage projects, while also knowing how to build digital libraries for future projects!
Attendees are invited to bring in any other unique textures they might want to scan for a digital collage, and of course, any photos they would like to use!
Experience using Photoshop is recommended.
Instructor: Victor, DML intern
Please register, as space is limited. If you have your own laptop with Photoshop, you're encouraged to bring it.
This event is part of our Digital Creativity Challenge in January-February, and you could finish one of the challenges during the workshop!
It's also part of our Wintering Together series for adults. Join us in-person and on Zoom for a variety of opportunities for engagement and connection this winter!
