Color our world, and celebrate diverse cultures from around the globe! Every Wednesday during our Summer Reading Program, elementary-age kids are invited to join us for a new event where they can explore and experience unique cultures and traditions from different countries.
Step into the heart of French culture with Chef Hicham Chehouani from Crêpes de Luxe Cafe, Iowa City! In today's special French cultural program, Chef Chehouani will share fascinating stories and fun facts about the origins of French crepes and their cultural significance in French cuisine. After hearing all about these delicious treats, kids will have the opportunity to create their own customized crepes, starting from a plain crepe sample, choosing from a variety of delicious toppings at the topping bar, and tasting their own homemade crepes, flavors of France!
Crepe samples are available in limited quantity for children under 12, served on a first-come, first-served basis. Each child can make one crepe.
If you need disability-related accommodations in order to participate in this event, please contact the Library.
This event is open to the public.
