Wednesday, March 5, 2025 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm

03/05/2025 7:00pm 03/05/2025 8:30pm Kaleb Wyse Author Visit--There's Always Room at the Table

Prairie Lights, HarperCollins Publishers, and the Iowa City Public Library are delighted to welcome Kaleb Wyse, author and creator of the popular website Wyse Guide, to our space!

Join us for a visit with Kaleb, who's book There's Always Room at the Table: Farmhouse Recipes from My Family to Yours has just been released. There will be a conversation about the book, as well as an audience Q&A.

Kaleb is the 4th generation of his family to live on Knollgate Farm in southeast Iowa, and his new cookbook is full of recipes that meet his strict criteria: "the dishes must be reminiscent of those prepared by his mom, grandmas, or even great-grandmas; the ingredients have to be readily available in his southeastern Iowa grocery stores (meaning that they’d be available for pretty much anyone else); and the end result needs to be no-nonsense and taste amazing." Get ready for delicious, comforting food that reminds us that slowing down, especially in the kitchen and with family, is a good thing.

Seating is limited, please register!

Prairie Lights will have signed copies of the book available for purchase, and there will be an opportunity to have photos taken and books personalized after the event.

This event is live and in-person.
