Want to learn some Halloween makeup tricks? Join us to explore making fake tattoos, realistic bruising and wounds, covering real tattoos, face painting, and more! It will be a live class so participation and questions are welcomed.
A small number of basic craft kits will be available beginning Monday, October 19th at ICPL Lobby Grab & Go. First come, first serve, limit one per person and available until gone.
You'll be using what you already have at home to DIY some Halloween makeup looks. If you would like to pick up supplies for the class beforehand, or get together what you have at home, here are some to look for:
Makeup: Foundation/concealer; Eyeshadow (red, black, purple, various colors); Eyeliner marker and/or pencil; Setting powder; Primer; Color corrector; Red lipstick/lip liner pencil; Setting spray; Makeup brushes and sponges;
Craft supplies; Elmer’s liquid glue, or other nontoxic liquid glue; Tissues; Felt tip pen/sharpie
Other things; Baby/talcum powder; Hairspray; Fake blood, can be bought or made at home (corn syrup, red and blue food coloring, and cocoa mix)
Not everything on the list is required and many things are interchangeable, like the setting spray and hairspray or setting powder and baby powder. Most eye shadow palettes will have enough colors to get creative with so bring whatever supplies you have!
Registration is required. Details for joining this Zoom event will be emailed to all who register before the event begins.
If you have questions or requests for makeup skills to be covered, you can email jacynthia-west@icpl.org.
If you need disability-related accommodations in order to participate in this event, please contact the Library.
This event is open to the public.
