Who is eligible to reserve a pass?
You will need a library card, must be at least 18 years old, and a resident of Iowa City, Hills, Lone Tree, University Heights, or rural Johnson County. Your card must not be expired or have fees more than $10 total.
You'll also need a valid photo ID which matches the name on the Adventure Pass reservation to access the venue.
How does it work?
- Visit the Adventure Pass page.
- Browse the passes for available dates and venues. You can book up to 90 days in advance. Check the venue is open before booking.
- Follow the prompts to reserve the pass with your library card number and PIN/password.
- Print the confirmation page. This is your pass for entry.
- On the day of your reservation, bring the confirmation page and a valid photo ID. The name on the ID must match the name on the printed pass.
Who can I take with me when I go?
The pass is good for a total of 2 adults and 2 children. Additional attendees will need to pay the regular admission price.

How often can I reserve the pass?
You can reserve one pass per venue every 365 days.
If I don't use a pass for the day I reserved it, do I lose my turn?
Yes. If you contact us the day before your reservation, we can cancel the pass with no penalty. However, if you reserve the pass and don't use it, or cancel the same day as your reservation, you won't be able to reserve a pass for that venue for 365 days. Contact the Library during open hours at least one day before your reservation to cancel your pass.
Please verify the venue is open for your selected date before reserving the pass.
Can I show the confirmation on my phone?
No. You MUST print your reservation confirmation and show the printed, physical copy at the door of the venue to gain access.
If you don't have access to a printer, contact the Library or email the confirmation page to print@icpl.org. We can print it for you for free, and you can pick it up from the Info Desk on the second floor.
What if I can't find my pass?
Contact the Library. We can print another for you or email you the pass to print again.
