ICPL unveils new look

As you may have noticed, the Iowa City Public Library’s website and social media profile pages have received a new look recently. The new Library logo was created by Library staff and was selected because it communicates activity, vitality and the movement of information and ideas. You may also notice the logo mimics some of the design elements in the light fixtures of the lobby.

The old logo had been used for more than 30 years and was designed from elements of the stained glass window that was in the dome of the original Carnegie building. This window now hangs in the southwest reading area on the Library’s second floor.
