ICPL’s CHILDREN’S ROOM CELEBRATES FAMILY WITH SUNDAY FUN DAYS

Parents, are you looking for something entertaining for you and your children? Come to the Iowa City Public Library on Sunday for Sunday Fun Day!

Sunday Fun Days feature fun activities for families to enjoy together in the Children’s Room. Each Sunday Fun Day has a theme, with stories, crafts, or games to celebrate it.

Sunday Fun Day happens every Sunday except the first Sunday of the month. That afternoon is reserved for Sit, Stay, R.E.A.D. with Therapy Dogs of Johnson County.

“Sunday Fun Days allow families to enjoy each other and give our staff a chance to be creative,” says Vickie Pasicznyuk, children’s services coordinator.

Upcoming Sunday Fun Day events include:

• Jan. 26 Board Game Extravaganza: Escape the winter blues with games with friends.
• Feb. 9 Valentine Fun: Listen to Valentine’s Day stories and make some crafts.
• Feb. 16 Library Olympics: Get into the spirit of the Winter Olympic Games with games and a craft.
• Feb. 23 Lincoln Logs: Celebrate President Lincoln’s birth month with Lincoln Log creations.

All Sunday Fun Day events begin at 2 p.m.
