Thank you for helping make our first day of curbside holds pickup a success!
With nice weather; well-prepared and enthusiastic staff; and patient, happy patrons, the June 4th kickoff could not have gone any better. Library staff were thrilled to see patrons again, even from several feet away and through a windshield.
We plan to expand curbside pickup capacity in the coming weeks, and anticipate accepting new holds soon. We know our community is eager for more access to library materials and we look forward to making this happen.
Safety continues to be our priority, and when you arrive to pick up your materials, you will see all staff wearing masks and that transferring library materials is managed in a way that allows for social distancing. Behind the scenes, staff work in teams to limit exposure to large groups, masks are worn by everyone in the building, materials are quarantined for a minimum of 72 hours before circulating, and we wash our hands and use hand sanitizer frequently.
As a reminder, curbside service is currently available from 3.00pm-6.00pm, Monday through Friday, and from 10.00am-1.00pm on Saturdays (except for this Saturday, June 6th). Patrons receive complete instructions about materials access in the notice indicating their hold is available. The notice includes a link to reserve a pick up day and time. Call 319.356.5200 to learn more.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
