Art Advisory Committee seeks candidates

The Library Board of Trustees is looking for candidates to fill vacancies on the ICPL Art Advisory Committee. The terms end April 1, 2015.

Completed applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2012, and can be dropped off at the Reference Desk or mailed to:

Duties may include assisting staff in the judging and purchasing of original art for the Art-To-Go collection (via the Library’s annual Art Purchase Prize Contest), advising the Library Board on selecting and purchasing of permanent original art for the
building, and reviewing proposals for unsolicited gifts of art.

Candidates must reside in Iowa City or rural Johnson County, and are appointed to the Committee by the Library Board. Library employees are not eligible for appointment. Art or design professionals are preferred.
