Any found percussion fans out there? Silent movie buffs? Multimedia nuts? If so, keep reading!

"Alloy Orchestra will perform at The Englert Theatre on Thursday, Oct. 11 at 8pm. Alloy Orchestra is a three-man musical ensemble, writing and performing live accompaniment to classic silent films. Working with an unusual combination of found percussion and state-of-the-art electronics, Alloy Orchestra creates incredible music. They will perform their original score to the classic vampire film Nosferatu. You can learn more about the group at www.alloyorchestra.com."

But the cool part is, the group is going to hang with students before the event - so if you've got questions, ask 'em!

"Prior to their performance, Alloy Orchestra is hosting an outreach session with students Thursday, Oct. 11 at 3:30pm at the Englert. Members will discuss and demonstrate the process behind creating live scores to silent films. This will be a unique opportunity to interact with the group."

If you are interested in participating, please RSVP to Andre Perry at andre (at) englert (dot) org."

Unique music, freaky old movie, and hanging out with the musicians. What's not to like? :)
