Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Iowa City Public Library! We greatly appreciate our volunteers for their invaluable contributions to the Library.

If you're interested in volunteering, here are a few important details:

Volunteers must be at least 12 years old.
We ask for a minimum commitment of 20 hours over a three-month period for our volunteers.
To ensure a safe environment, all volunteers receive a background check before starting. Applications may take a few weeks to fully process.
We're committed to supporting the Americans with Disabilities Act and will make reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities who are interested in volunteering.
