Award-winning musician and author Jim Gill will be at the Iowa City Public Library on Thursday, June 29, as part of his Nationwide Campaign for Play tour!
Join us in Meeting Room A from 10:30 to 11 a.m. for a fun-filled concert featuring songs from his newest CD, “Vote for Jim Gill.” Gill says a vote for Jim Gill means taking the time to play musical games with a child.
"When parents or grandparents take the time to play with children, they naturally and instinctively challenge them and 'raise the bar' linguistically, cognitively and physically,” he said.
Gill’s energetic rhythms on the banjo will have members of the audience singing, clapping, dancing – sometimes even sneezing – along!
