The Iowa City Public Library, with support from the Friends Foundation, is excited to host Brooke Gladstone of WNYC's On the Media and author of “The Trouble with Reality,” during this year's Intellectual Freedom Festival.
Gladstone will give a presentation about fake news and the media on Sunday, September 24, from 2 to 3 p.m., at the Englert Theatre. She will be joined by Lyle Muller, executive director of IowaWatch.org, the Iowa Center for Public Affairs Journalism.
The event is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m.; seating is first come-first served.
Staff from Prairie Lights Books will have copies of Gladstone’s book available for purchase before and after the event. Gladstone will sign copies after the event until 3:45pm.
