ICPL Bookmobile Tech Zone Continues Through August 20
The Department of Human Services is offering help to households currently receiving food assistance who need to replace food that was destroyed as a result of the storm on Monday, Aug. 10, 2020. There is limited time in which to apply for this aid; 10 days from the date food spoiled.
To assist our community, we are sending the Bookmobile out for the next few days to provide access to the internet and technical tools to fill out the "Request for Replacement of Spoiled Food" form required to begin the reimbursement process.
The library will provide charging stations, laptops, and WiFi for use on-site at these locations:
Monday, August 17:
10 AM-Noon, Waterfront Hy-Vee,1720 Waterfront Dr.
1-3 PM, Mercer Park, 2701 Bradford Dr.
Tuesday, August 18:
10 AM-Noon, GreenState Credit Union, 825 Mormon Trek
1-3 PM Grant Wood Elementary, 1930 Lakeside Dr.
Wednesday, August 19:
10 AM-Noon, Waterfront Hy-Vee,1720 Waterfront Dr.
1-3 PM, Mercer Park, 2701 Bradford Dr.
Thursday, August 20:
10 AM-Noon, GreenState Credit Union, 825 Mormon Trek
1-3 PM Grant Wood Elementary, 1930 Lakeside Dr.
There are no library materials on the Bookmobile and only library staff are allowed on the Bookmobile. Masks and social distancing are mandatory. Free masks will be available for people who do not have one.
"Using the Bookmobile to meet our community's needs just makes sense. We are here for the community, even while the building is closed," said Angie Pilkington, Coordinator, Children's Services.
