Digital Media Lab
Let's have a snack and build your computer skills!
This in-person workshop is for those who are brand-new to using email. We will use Gmail, one of the most common email platforms.
Learners will create a Gmail account at the beginning of the workshop. Note: a cellphone is required to complete the registration process. If you wish, you're welcome to just observe the class without creating a Gmail account, but a fair amount of time will be spent in the registration process.
Then, you'll learn how to perform basic email functions, such as sending, receiving, and replying to email. As time allows, we'll cover recognizing and dealing with spam, organizing and deleting emails, and searching for messages.
Computers will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring your own laptop if you have one.
One lucky attendee will go home with a new 128GB USB/USB-C flash drive, too!
Instructor: Stacey McKim
