Digital Media Lab
Whether you love your current house or are nostalgic for a place you used to live, let’s make some art that shows it. Using one of your photos or a Google Maps image, we’ll trace the shape in Adobe Illustrator using Wacom drawing tablets. You’ll choose the style – a simple line drawing, a colored-in illustration using Illustrator’s many interesting brushes, a line drawing over a splash of “watercolor,” or anything you can think of. You’ll leave with a color printout of your design and the skills to make more.
What should you bring? Digital photos are ideal (on a flash drive or saved in your email or on the cloud, if you know your passwords), printed photos to scan in the lab, or addresses to look up online. Feel free to bring multiple options and houses in case you have a lightning-fast drawing style.
Please register, as we have a limited number of Wacom tablets!
If you need disability-related accommodations in order to participate in this event, please contact the Library.
This event is open to the public.
The Digital Media Lab is available during this event.
