The Wedge is offering Eat Out to Read on April 10th from 11 am-9 pm through carryout or Chomp Delivery. A generous percentage of all sales will be donated to the Iowa City Public Library. Thank you for your support!

On March 28, 2024, The Iowa City Downtown District announced the launch of a new collaborative campaign to showcase the vibrant Downtown Iowa City Cultural & Entertainment District, officially recognized by the state in December 2022.

On Friday, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at The Englert Theatre, please join the Iowa City Public Library Friends Foundation for a lecture with writer Ilyon Woo benefiting the Iowa City Public Library. The lecture will be followed by a Q&A. Presigned copies of books will be available for purchase from Prairie Lights in the lobby at the event. 10% of book purchases will be donated back to the Library. Katie Roche works at the Library as the Development Director of the Iowa City Public Library Friends Foundation, which works to inspire every member of our community to support the Iowa City Public Library as a Library user, volunteer, or donor. Katie loves to read widely and especially enjoys reading in anticipation of events featuring writers reading from their books and in conversation about their writing.
