Storytime Room
In honor of Women's History Month, join us to learn about a trailblazing figure in women's athletics - Junko Tabei, Japanese alpinist and mountaineer. In 1975, Tabei became the first woman to reach the summit of Mount Everest, the world's tallest mountain.
Learn about Tabei's achievements through a read-aloud of a new picture book biography by Anita Yasuda, called "Up, Up, Ever Up!: Junko Tabei, a Life in the Mountains." Then embark on an immersive and interactive journey to Everest, through games, food, physical challenges, and crafts.
If you need disability-related accommodations in order to participate in this event, please contact the Library.
