Library EventFirst LEGO League Challenge for Grades 3-8

Join us for a weekly club meeting to learn about and practice robotics using LEGOs, all leading up to a competition as a team at the end of the season. Participants will work together to learn how to research, problem-solve, code, and engineer, in order to build and program a LEGO robot that navigates the missions of a robot game. Students must be in grades 3-8 to practice, and the team can have up to 10 kids that are in 4th grade and up participate in a regional competition in December. Kids that are not officially on the team, which will be called the Corn Poppers, can still attend and support the team at the competition. Attendance at most practices is required to compete on the team, but kids curious about robotics are welcome to attend and explore as the team learns together. Please register for meeting reminders.

Registration required, and participation each week limited to 15 kids. If you register and can no longer attend, please call the library to cancel your registration.
