Today's panel will examine difficult challenges writers face in times of stress and chaos. From political conflicts to global pandemics, writers feel pressured to respond to our ever-changing world. How do these events shape literature, and how does a writer's environment affect the level of responsibility they feel?
The IWP Friday Panel Discussion series provides an opportunity for the residents of Iowa City to meet and converse with writers from around the world who are the Fall 2024 Writers in Residence at the University of Iowa International Writing Program.
The series is sponsored by The UI International Writing Program and The Iowa City Public Library.
This event is live and in-person, and will be streamed live on the ICPL YouTube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/thelibrarychannel
