Today's panel will examine the profound transformations brought about by social media and digital platforms in the realms of writing, publishing, and public discourse. Today's panelists will reflect on how these technologies reshape the relationship between writers and readers, redefine notions of authorship and influence, and shape the evolution of storytelling in the digital age. The IWP Friday Panel Discussion series provides an opportunity for the residents of Iowa City to meet and converse with writers from around the world who are the Fall 2024 Writers in Residence at the University of Iowa International Writing Program. The series is sponsored by The UI International Writing Program and The Iowa City Public Library.
