Have you ever wanted to learn to code, but had no idea where to start? Are you curious about how the apps on your phone and programs on your computer are made? This introduction to coding will teach you the basic building blocks all programs are constructed from, and you’ll be learning Python, one of the most widespread and beginner-friendly programming languages used today.
In this intro class, we’ll cover variables, if-else statements, for loops and while loops, printing messages, and arrays. You can use one of the library's computers, or bring your own laptop with Python 2.7 installed.
Then come to Part 2 on March 20th to learn how to combine these concepts to make something exciting!
Instructor: Emma, Digital Media Lab intern
