There are many reasons people save seeds. With saved seeds you don't have to buy new seeds next year. Saving seeds can help you preserve a specific “family” flower or vegetable (Grandma’s 4 O’Clocks or Dad’s favorite tomato) and helps you stay connected to your garden and its history. But how exactly do you save seeds?
Roger Hartwell from Seed Savers Exchange in Decorah will join us for a virtual discussion of the ins and outs of seed saving. He'll share what you need to know about your plant, how and when to gather, label, store your seeds for future use and how to share your seeds with others.
REGISTRATION FOR THIS ONLINE EVENT IS REQUIRED. Details on how to join the event will be emailed to all registered attendees by 3:15pm the afternoon of the event.
