In the event of a life threatening emergency like a heart attack or choking, every minute before help arrives counts. What do you do after calling 911? This 45 minute workshop could help save someone's life.
Hands-only CPR, use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and choking response can be learned in as little as 30 minutes. This short workshop, consisting of a video presentation followed by hands-on practice led by Paramedics from the Johnson County Ambulance Service can give you the basic lifesaving skills you need to make a difference in those first few minutes until emergency services arrive.
Each session is limited to 30 people. Registration is required and begins May 1st.
If you need disability-related accommodations in order to participate in this event, please contact the Library.
